Sirius Satellite Radio Question???

I know when you order sirius it gives you everything you need to hook up to your car, but why does it give you the option to buy the casset adapter? What does that do?
none of them are poor. You must like XM

The cassette adaptor is for older cars that don’t have an MP3 input jack. You put the cassette into the cassette receiver and the audio is transferred to your car stereo by metal strips that contact the heads of the cassette receiver.

Since the introduction of the VLP FM transmitter, this option is pretty well at the end of it’s life cycle – except for those with only an AM and cassette.
