What’s the best way to add mp3 player capability to my car?

I drive a Mitsubishi Eclipse 2007 and it has a pretty nice factory audio system with an am/fm/6-cd head unit, 10-inch woofer and mp3 disk capabilities. One thing which is conspicuously missing is an audio jack for an mp3 player or satellite radio.

unfortunately, as of right now there are no aftermarket aux in adapters for your car. your car has the capability of adding one, they just don’t make an aftermarket one for it right now, according to crutchfield.com. you can check with the dealership, you might be able to buy something so you can use that aux with your mp3 player. your only other option is to go with a wired fm modulator. it works the same way as the ones that your friends have but instead of plugging into your cig lighter and transmitting wirelessly, you connect power and ground to it and it plugs inline with the antenna, so you get no static or interference, but you also only get fm quality sound, not mp3 quality sound. hope that helps
